JOYLO VS LOVABLE

Joylo or Lovable.
Which one fits?

Joylo is an AI app builder with a named engineer in your codebase. Lovable is an AI software engineer that enables anyone to build for the web. Both export your code. For self-serve human build help, Lovable lists third-party partners you hire. Joylo's Expert Assist brings its own engineer for $500. Joylo's production guarantee starts once you agree a scope and buy the recommended hours. Pick Joylo for the engineer. Pick Lovable for the free plan and two-way GitHub sync.

The short answer.
Four differences.

  • Lovable's self-serve route to human build help is third-party partners. Its Partner Directory lists certified Experts and Solution Partners you hire and contract with directly. Its own Consultancy Services come under its Enterprise Agreement, ordered by Order Form, with no published price. Joylo's Expert Assist puts its own named engineer into your project for $500, covering 10 architect hours, with a 24-hour first response.
  • Both let you own and export the code.Lovable two-way syncs your project with GitHub on every plan, including Free. Joylo exports to your own GitHub on every plan from the $1 Trial up, and standard migration from Lovable is free.
  • Entry paid plans match on monthly billing.Lovable Pro and Joylo Solo Builder are both $25/mo billed monthly. Lovable's Yearly billing drops Pro to $21/mo, billed annually. Joylo's plans are month to month.
  • Lovable has a Free plan and no per-seat fees.Free includes a daily grant of 5 build credits, GitHub sync and Lovable's MCP server, and workspaces take unlimited members on every plan. On Joylo, you start at the $1 Trial.

Lovable

Lovable calls itself an AI software engineer. It builds on React, Supabase and Tailwind, with new apps since 13 May 2026 on TanStack Start, and auto-provisions a Postgres database, authentication, file storage and real-time features through Lovable Cloud and Supabase. You can edit visually, or in code on a paid plan, and every workspace takes unlimited members, priced by credits rather than seats.

Joylo

An AI builder that generates a conventional React front end, a Node API and a PostgreSQL database on Neon. The output is an ordinary repository you can open in Cursor or VS Code. When the AI stalls, Expert Assist brings a named Joylo engineer into the project for $500, covering 10 architect hours, so you are not the one debugging it.

So the split is not builder against builder. Joylo and Lovable both hand you code you own. It is whether you want the builder itself to supply the engineer, or, on Lovable's self-serve plans, to find and hire one yourself through a directory. Decide that first and the rest of this page mostly answers itself.

How does Joylo pricing compare to Lovable?

Lovable's pricing page opens on Monthly billing, with a Yearly toggle marked "2 months free". I checked both of Lovable's billing states on 29 September 2026. Lovable prices by credits, not seats. In its own words, "Credits let you build apps, run deployed apps, and power AI features from one balance." Both billing states are below.

Lovable pricing page with Monthly billing selected, showing Free at 0 dollars a month, Pro at 25 dollars a month and Business at 50 dollars a month, with Pro and Business each at 100 monthly credits, and Enterprise on a platform fee.

Free at $0 a month, Pro at $25 a month and Business at $50 a month, with Pro and Business each showing 100 monthly credits, and Enterprise on a "Platform fee". Switching the toggle to Yearly shows Pro at $21/mo and Business at $42/mo, billed annually.

EnterpriseCustom pricing, agreed with your teamPlatform fee, not published

In practice the rows that decide it are the two engineer rows. Lovable sells credits, lists partners for human work, and sells its own Consultancy Services under its Enterprise Agreement, with no published price. Joylo sells the engineer hours itself, at a published fixed price. So if your worry is the week the build breaks, weigh that $500 against finding a partner, agreeing scope and price, and bringing them into your project yourself.

A named engineer.
When the AI gets stuck.

Joylo's Expert Assist costs $500 and covers 10 architect hours. You get a named engineer who works inside your existing project, with a 24-hour first response. They can see your codebase only once you approve access, and nothing merges without your approval. We investigate the cause and agree the right fix, and you approve any hours beyond the first block before that work begins, so you know what you are buying.

Joylo's written production guarantee begins once that scope is assessed, agreed, and the recommended hours are purchased. If the estimate for that agreed scope falls short, Joylo carries the extra engineering cost.

Lovable's route to a human works differently. Its support team handles account, billing and platform issues for paying users. Lovable's support policy says the support team does not debug individual projects, and points you to Lovable's AI in the project chat for that. For someone to build it with you, Lovable publishes a Partner Directory of certified third-party Experts and Solution Partners, reached from its Work with a partner page.

You contact a partner directly, and scope, pricing and contracts are agreed between you and that partner. The directory says Lovable does not sit in the middle of the engagement. That suits you if you already want an agency. On an Enterprise agreement, Lovable also sells its own Consultancy Services, priced by Order Form, with no published price.

The same expert engineers behind Joylo built the CameraMatics fleet platform at HST. If the AI has taken your app somewhere you cannot follow, that is who picks it up.

Code you own.
A stack you can move.

Joylo

A conventional React front end, a Node API and a PostgreSQL database on Neon. Export the code to your own GitHub on every plan from the $1 Trial up, deploy it to AWS, Azure, GCP or your own cloud, and open it in Cursor, VS Code or any editor. Standard migration from Lovable, Replit, Bolt and v0 is free on every plan, so you can bring an app you already started.

Lovable

Lovable exports too. In its own words, "You own your code", and you can export and two-way sync a project with GitHub on every plan, including Free. Downloading the full codebase as a .zip needs a paid plan. Lovable hosts published apps and says you can move the frontend and backend independently, with its built-in Cloud backend moving to managed or self-hosted Supabase. Deploy on AWS or Azure is in private preview.

So on ownership Joylo and Lovable sit close together. The difference is direction. Lovable exports only and does not import an existing GitHub repository, while Joylo takes an app in from Lovable, Replit, Bolt or another supported repository. If you have already started on one builder, that row decides where you can go next.

The takeaway from all 40 rows: Lovable has the free plan, SSO on Business, SCIM, its stated certifications, and platform features such as its MCP server and two-way GitHub sync. It publishes no self-serve offer to match the in-house engineer row, and no go-live guarantee to match Joylo's written guarantee, which begins once a scope is agreed and the recommended hours are purchased. That is the trade, stated plainly: you are choosing between a broad platform with a partner directory and an engineer the builder puts in your project.

When is Lovable
the better choice?

  • You want to start free.Lovable's Free plan gives a daily grant of 5 build credits, up to 30 a month, with GitHub sync and the MCP server included. Joylo starts at a $1 Trial.
  • Your whole team builds in one workspace.Unlimited members on every plan, one shared credit pool, per-member credit limits, and SSO on Business.
  • You want two-way sync with GitHub while you build.Lovable pitches it as combining Lovable with commits from your own code editor, and it is on every plan. Joylo publishes export to your own GitHub and does not publish two-way sync.
  • You need SOC 2 Type II or ISO 27001 today.Lovable states "SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001, with GDPR support". Joylo describes itself as GDPR-ready with enterprise-grade security.

Pick Lovable for any of those four and you will be happier than you would be on Joylo. That is not a flaw, it is a different job.

Who each one
is actually for.

Pick Joylo if

You are building something customers will pay for, you need the code to be yours, and you want a named engineer available the week it breaks. It fits first-time founders shipping a first real product, teams rescuing an app another AI builder left half-finished, and small teams with a roadmap and no engineering capacity.

Pick Lovable if

You want to start on a free plan, bring the whole team into one workspace priced by credits rather than seats, and keep your code in two-way sync with GitHub. It fits founders without a technical cofounder, marketers building campaign pages, agencies delivering client projects with full code export, and enterprise teams that need Lovable's stated SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 before you can sign anything.

Fair questions.
Straight answers.

The practical details before you choose.

Is Joylo more expensive than Lovable?

On the entry paid plans they match. Joylo's Solo Builder is $25/mo and Lovable's Pro is $25/mo billed monthly, or $21/mo billed annually. Lovable also has a Free plan, and Joylo starts with a $1 Trial. The gap you will notice is the engineer: Expert Assist is $500 for 10 architect hours, and Lovable publishes no price for its own engineering hours, which Enterprise customers order as Consultancy Services.

Can I export my code from Lovable?

Yes. Lovable says you own your code, and you can export and two-way sync a project with GitHub on every plan, including Free. Downloading the full codebase as a .zip needs a paid plan. Lovable does not import an existing GitHub repository. Joylo exports to your own GitHub on every plan from the $1 Trial up, on a React, Node and PostgreSQL stack.

Does Lovable give me access to a human engineer?

On self-serve plans, through partners. Lovable's support policy says the support team does not debug individual projects and points you to Lovable's AI instead. Its Partner Directory lists certified third-party Experts and Solution Partners, and you agree scope, pricing and contract with the partner directly. Enterprise customers can order Consultancy Services from Lovable itself, priced by Order Form. Joylo's Expert Assist puts its own engineer into your project for $500, covering 10 architect hours, with a 24-hour first response.

How does Joylo's production guarantee work?

It is not automatic. We investigate the cause and agree the right fix first. The guarantee begins once that scope is assessed, agreed, and the recommended hours are purchased. If Joylo's estimate for that agreed scope falls short, Joylo carries the extra engineering cost. Before that point there is no guarantee in force.

Can I move an app I built on Lovable into Joylo?

Yes. Joylo's pricing page names Lovable for free standard migration, which is included on every plan, from the $1 Trial up. We review the project first so you know what is involved. A more complex move, such as a monorepo or a heavily customised backend, is a fixed $2,000.

How do Lovable credits work?

In Lovable's words, "Credits let you build apps, run deployed apps, and power AI features from one balance." Pro and Business start at 100 monthly credits. Credits roll over for 1 month on monthly plans, and you can top up at $15 per 50 credits on Pro. Joylo's plans include monthly AI credits too, 100 on Solo Builder, and unused monthly credits do not roll over.

Is Lovable SOC 2 certified?

Lovable's enterprise page states "SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001, with GDPR support", and says Lovable is certified to AIUC-1. Its security page words it as supporting SOC 2 and GDPR requirements. Joylo describes itself as GDPR-ready with enterprise-grade security. If a certification is a procurement requirement, verify it directly with the vendor.

What does Lovable's Pro plan actually cost?

$25 a month billed monthly, or $21 a month billed annually, which Lovable's docs list as $250 a year. Both prices get you 100 monthly credits. Pro scales by credit tier up to 10,000 credits, at $2,250 a month billed monthly. The pricing page opens on Monthly billing, so check the toggle before you compare figures.
